Spicy Orange Margarita

Happy Cinco De Mayo! We thought it would be fun to share a delicious cocktail that we will be enjoying today!

I don’t know about you but I love to try all kinds of margaritas when I go out or when I am hosting?! In honor of the day we all sip on Margaritas and eat too much Mexican food. I introduce to you the “Spicy Orange Margarita.”

Ingredients (makes one):

2 oz. Gran Centenario Plata Tequila
2 oz. Agavero Orange
1 oz. fresh lime juice
3 oz. fresh orange juice
1 teaspoon honey or agave nectar, optional
1-2 jalapeño slices
To garnish: sliced jalapeño, orange slices, lime wedges
SPICY CHILI SALT
1 tablespoon ancho chili powder
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon granulated sugar

Instructions:

First prepare the spicy chili salt by combining the chili powder, salt and sugar in a small bowl and mixing well to combine.
Salt the rim of desired number of glasses and fill with ice.
Prepare each margarita by combining ingredients in a cocktail shaker (or mason jar) filled with ice. Shake until combined and cold and strain into prepared glass.
Garnish with an orange wedge, lime wedge and additional jalapeño slice, if desired.

Salud!!! Taste best when shared with an amigo!!!

Thank you to the Forked Spoon for a delicious Margarita!!!
